Personally thrilled with last night's performance, the game was won easily and sensibly, we did all the small things right and that really pays off. Granted we were a little lucky with those 5050 bobbles, but a little luck is needed every now and then, hopefully we'll make sure it doesn't go to waste come Friday.
Also good on Neilson for not just dropping the gloves but the helmet too, he must've known he was outclassed and he was a bit unlucky that he got clobbered one right after missing a heavy punch, shame it was over as quick as it was or it could've sparked something in them.

Removing your helmet before a fight is a penalty in the NHL and probably will be here too soon.

Relatively new - about 3 or 4 seasons. You'll find that most fighters don't take their helmets off now - if they get knocked off that's ok. It's in the rulebook here as well as it's a penalty in the IIHF rules for fighting, but we don't really adopt them strictly and as such is overlooked. That's more due to the fact we kind of play a hybrid set of rules when it comes to fighting.
