There may well be a team in London but it won't be playing in the elite league

As someone who lives in London, I hope it means the KHL is coming here Lee Valley is currently undergoin public consultation, for a new dual pad facility to replace the current rink (which is over 30 years old and absolutely terrible). I'm not sure how many seats the main pad will have though, as its still a bit early. Might be another possibility, rather than Wembley. They're also reopening the train station there, which will make access easier from central London

So with the news of Guildford applying to join as well as Milton Keynes already firmly joining next season, what are everyone's thoughts?
I hope this will help mix the fixture list up most of all. Whilst the bigger gates from Steelers, Panthers and Devils must be good, we play some of the teams far too much.
Mixing the conference system to three conferences could be an interesting prospect, with the cup being two geographic groups.

If it goes 3 conferences, the only fair way I can see it going is:
Scottish: Fife-Edinburgh-Braehead-Dundee (play them twice home and away) Arena: Sheffield-Belfast-Nottingham-Cardiff (play them twice home and away) Rink: Coventry-Manchester-Guildford-Milton Keynes (play them three times home and away)
I would miss the 8 big matches each with Panthers and Steelers, but it would make it more competitive for the non-arena (loadsa money) teams than it is now imo (50 games)
If it goes 2 x 6 teams, make it English and Celtic 3 games home and away in conference, 2 games home and away out of conference(54 games)
Personally, I would probably prefer 2 x 6 teams

Awesome news! Let's hope it happens.
I've always like the 3 conference (Scottish, Arena and Rinks) set up. I think we'll lose out from playing two less home games against Sheffield/Nottingham/Cardiff, but will gain from the travel. MK's nearer to us than anyone else and we'll be affected the least by the travel to Guildford too. If we can build up the old rivalries then we could benefit financially and win more games. Whether we like it or not, we're financially out of the Arena teams league anyway.
Bring on 2017!!

Anyone seen anything from yesterday's meeting? nothing concrete but a lot of rumours etc following a simms tweet about yesterday being a bad day for hockey. that said at a q&a with neil black before nottingscums game last night he (nb) said he was confident it would be 12 teams with 2x6 conferences

Hopefully they haven't gone and increased the import limit again...
