I hope tonight is a win or stays close, I’d hate to see Young Preece left out to dry. If we’re giving him the game let’s protect the lad.

Wow, charging full price for a meaningless game. Shows what the club think of it's fans.

Can't see there being many attend, although I'm going, I may well leave early if if turns out to be as dull as I fear it's going to be.
It'll be good seeing some familiar faces return

Well a better game than I feared it was going to be and well played by the team for giving young Preece a win. Thought Pietrus was outstanding and lead from the front in a feistier game than I thought it was going to be. Guildford allowed their composure to slip a little towards the end - future games could be tasty.
Maybe I was biased but I thought Davis and Stewart both had good games for Guildford. Didn't see what sparked the Robinson McKinney incident towards the end of P2 but it was good to see the way Blaze players immediately rallied round. Shame we're out of the CC - a few more performances like this and we might not have been.
Hopefully a springboard

I thought Patterson had a good game, he was defending well and constantly checking what was around him. looking forward to a competitive game against Guilford.

All over 5-2 not good enough and we lost Dingle to injury.

Positives We've got Vallerand, Kloz and Pietrus
Neutrals We've got Dingle and Nastiuk
Negatives Pretty much everything else
DS is clueless, this is year 2 of a supposed 3 year plan. When things break down he just hasn't got any ideas whatsoever 4-2 down with 20s to play and we pull Nastiuk. Drivel. What a total shambles.

I've been having fun on twitter! Same sentiment there.
If a company is underperforming and you are the owner or have just acquired it, it is the management that is scrutinised. Not just the boss those who work for him as well. Just replacing DS will not change a thing, JP would need to be removed from selection/coaching duties as well.

Not so long ago we had a mantra of OK is not good enough - Andy Buxton was quite visible and quite vocal. Right now, OK is a high bar to which we can barely aspire, and as for owners being visible ..... What is needed is an emptier rink for a protracted period; so long as revenue holds up, nonchalance and empty rhetoric interviews will be the norm. Once it becomes apparent that we won't pay to watch this rubbish perhaps the owners will actually do something worth doing

is anyone really surprised that the team pulled out the stops in the game that didn't mean jack and then bent over in the one that actually meant something? I'm glad to see such a low attendance. I for one will not be attending any cup games next season. I will treat them with the same contempt the club do. 3 successive years going out in the group with barely a whimper and 4 wins in last 21 cup games...2 of them dead rubbers. unacceptable. club are costing themselves money with reduced attendances and no further fixtures. on the Guildford game, thrilled for preece. lad has a bright future. good to see pietrus' commitment to leading the team and of course for those of us of a certain vintage a loss to Guildford is unacceptable under any circumstances, including if it prevents panthers winning something. Edinburgh? I know its a long horrible journey but going to a team in freefall with barely a bench who have been getting humped for weeks and then being humped? something is seriously broken with this club. where is the team that dismantled giants and squeelers? I cant help but feel we got our priorities wrong this weekend. only thing that mattered was the 2 eihl points on offer at murrayfield.
pease has to go. the defence has been awful since he started having anything to do with it. its hard to win games when you know you will concede 4 goals per game at least. no matter who the nettie is.

We could have the best coach in the world and it wouldn't matter. The problem is the owners and Pease, nothing will change until they go. I've not attended game this season, not because I don't want to but because I refuse to line their pockets. It shows their regard for the fans that they charged full price for the meaningless Guilford game, the only way it will change is if people don't attend games.
