I'm pleased that Matt's returned, he's a player I always felt we should've kept and we'd have foolish not to sign him when the opportunity came up. Hopefully, this will also mean we'll be running 4 lines.
From memory, I think he always played as a forward in the EIHL, but has played on defence everywhere else? If that's right then it'll be interesting to see where he plays this time around and if that means we're not pursuing Lewis Hook or are releasing Clements.

He did indeed play forward here although he prefers being on D. I'm pleased we've got Matt back and we need to think to the future, even if Tony Smith only thinks you need 3 brit players on a team as out skaters it is depth that helps you through the season.
I think he'll play forward here for what it's worth and as you say, I would really like us to go to four lines, even if it is a grind line initially. You could see in the Steelers QF games that it really took a toll having four lines roll against us.
