Said on another thread that I was hoping for a hard hitting D-Man in the mould of Mike Egener. From the little I've seen, I think this is the type of player I was looking for.
Not too much longer to have to wait now and on a completely unrelated topic I must say well done to the Blaze Marketing / Communication / PR team for running an excellent and professional off season campaign. First class all round, Lola clearly runs a tight ship ....

Looks a good signing and as long as he keeps the hits clean and not like the low shoulder one that's in a youtube clip he won't attract the attention of DOPS.
I like the fact that we've got two D men who both like hitting players now and Cantin's speed on the breakout is going to be another bonus to hopefully hurting teams on the breakout.
Not long to go now and I'm looking forward to seeing this team take to the ice.

I personally think that Cantin will be as good for the Blaze as Dustin Wood was a few years back. I thought that Egener was a good-but-not-great defenceman, but I think Cantin is a brilliant, brilliant signing.
