I know they're only preseason but was just wondering if anyone has any expectations they want to share or any particular player they are interested in seeing.

Bergman and Bombis definitely. They both look to have good speed and skills, and could complement one another nicely. Oh, and obviously Pietrus, Jim and Stewy (the taller). I think Panthers fans are worried about being bullied by Klotz as well, with no Jansen, and on a line with Selby that could be a nasty fourth line.

Don't know why but I'm looking forward to see what Boutin is like. From last year's squad want to see whether Robbo picks up where he left off or whether he's a natural slow starter and whether Godfrey delivers. Friendly or not definitely feeling that hockey buzz right now.

cowley and robinson rested (precaution and illness respectively), cantin not here yet. Stokes and O'Flaherty ice.
Not able to attend tonight for personal reasons but I'm really interested in seeing bombis and bergman. could potentially be a sort of player hitherto unseen at the dome. Also curious as to whether Klotz can play or is the goon the internet experts say he is.

Bergman looks the business, as does Marquardt. A beauty from him, and plenty of flashes from both. Klotz looks more than a goon, he's got decent speed and hands, definitely could contribute more than just fisticuffs. Pietrus obviously still has it. Lovely goal tonight. Marr seemed uneasy to start with, but then seemed to get dialled in and looked solid. Definitely looking forward to seeing this team a lot more. Oh and Boutin looks like quite a pick up.

Almost word for word what I've have said. Thought Godfrey looked hungry tonight too and I was very impressed with Boutin.
For Panthers, love him or loathe him, Farmer was stand out, he has matured into a fine hockey player.

I liked Marquardt's work rate immense I don't think he left the ice for long and his goal was a beauty. Boutin looks a good find and I think Zajak will be when he settles in.

Cardiff beat Tilburg 5-0 tonight, will be good to see whether that says something about Cardiff or something about Tilburg. Can't make it tomorrow (or Monday) but these next 2 games could be fun. Does anyone know if Robinson and Cowley are fit or when Cantin arrives?

Much tighter than the Cardiff scoreline. 3-2 Blaze, with two gritty goals from Bombis and a gorgeous shot form Boutin. Cantin iced, looked very good for someone who got off the plane this morning. Him, Marquardt and Boutin have a real physical edge to their games, it was refreshing to see some proper, big hitting hockey, which we've missed since Eggy retired really. I think from what I've heard, Tilburg came out better than last night, so the score was partially a reflection on them as well. Our forwards look like they have a good blend of skill and grit, they just need some systems and time to gel. They're trying crafty plays that later in the season could be great, they're just not quite clicking yet. More positives than negatives, but I think tomorrow night will be a real test.

Thanks dudestar, sadly I can't make tomorrow's game either so if you go (or anyone else ...) it would be great to hear your views from that game too. Cardiff have created what looks like a behemoth of a team that could be challenging for all 3 trophies this year. I totally agree that tomorrow's game will be a real challenge - has the potential to be a cracker

The Cardiff game seemed pretty entertaining, both sides missing a couple of players. For a team that's been together the best part of a month the Devils didn't seem to dominate as much as I thought they might. Murdy for them has matured well with his time in the EPL. Lord's late goal though probably was in part due to them being that bit sharper.
We had some lovely play and you can see where we are going. Bombis seems to be finding some early season form and both he and Bergman have some great skating. Bergman is making early in roads and he could be a real find once he beds in properly.
Cantin plays with a real edge - something we bigged up with his signing and I'm looking forward to seeing him play once he's better used to his linemates and he's in our timezone. However if he can play that good straight off the plane then things look good.
Boutin continued in his recent fine form and he's quickly becoming IMO a great find.
If the team keep playing the way they have then even if we don't win, I think they will give an entertaining performance.
