An intriguing prospect for tomorrow - will be good to see how well they (Giants) fare up in Fife tonight.
Very much looking forward to seeing Vandermeer - I thought he was class last season on the few occasions I saw him. That said, if Blaze come out and play like they did last Sunday we could be in for quite a treat. Looking forward to this one immensely.

Good game, a couple of poor passes cost us the game but I felt both teams deserved at least a point tonight. Godfrey deserved his man of match, scored a lovely goal and worked hard all night.

No complaints from me - an excellent game of hockey. Godfrey's goal was an absolute bullet,he and Pietrus were stand out for me tonight. Rutherford is going to cause real problems this season if he carries on like this. Win or lose, if the Blaze play with this intensity and passion, I'm going to be very happy

Just a couple of thoughts - I would say that Liam Stewart is a down grade on Tanaka and also don't see what Klotz is currently bringing to the team. It would also be nice to have a big D man in the mould of Nickerson. However I would have to say that the recruitment by Danny Stewart at this early stage looks to be very good.

Game photos: www.scottwiggins.co.ukI thought it was another entertaining game with both sides hitting the post numerous times. Three on three overtime is really good but indeed brutal for whomever happens to be on the wrong side of the winning goal. That being said I'm sure we will improve that with a bit more practice. Klotz hasn't been called to use his other skill set yet but he at least seems to be able to make a pass and does the simple things right which is always a bonus.

Another good game and I'm still very happy with the recruitment, we look to have a great squad and all four lines work well.
It's disappointing to lose because of two bad passes/turnovers though and I'd hope the coach can find a way to stop that happening again. The first one in particular where Selby's line (the 4th) were out against Desmarais and Rutherford seemed like a mismatch that we'd want to avoid in future - especially at home.
The second came as we started to slow and look tired towards the end of the game, so hopefully that's something we'll improve upon as the season progresses - we'll certainly have harder weekends to come from a fitness perspective.
The games to come against Sheffield and Cardiff will give us a real indication of where we're at in our conference, but so far we look to be right amongst them.

Bought the webcast and was the first time i've seen the team this year. Was a bit dissapointed tbh after seeing reviews of the preseason games. I thought we were good for the first 15mins and then for the last 5 and pretty much entire 2nd period we seemed to dissapear. To be fair they got back into it in the 3rd and probably should have won in regulation with Giants tiring.
OT was frustrating with us almost having a full minute of possesion just for Giants to score on their first break. With only 3 players it felt like a better tactic would be to get back out the zone and skate back in to make a play as it seemed harder to set up a play when already in the zone without risking giving the other team a break away, but i guess thems the breaks with 3on3 hockey.
