The key thing to note here is that unlike previous 2 way deals, we have first call on Matt's services. So if Danny feels he is needed in Coventry, he will be here.

I guess it makes sense while Tait and Cowley are out as Klotz and Stewart are taking their ice time, which leaves Selby as the odd man out. It does mean we'll be running with 9 forwards though, which makes it a bit a strange decision for me. Perhaps one of the two are close to coming back, so we'll have 10?

To be selfish, I'm slightly disappointed, we'll be seeing less of him and he's one of our more entertaining players. However, it'll give him a bit more ice time and allow him to develop, which is what's best for him, maybe we'll get to see a little more of him down the line?

I think this makes sense. it was the other way round with the 2 ways (Ie the other club paid wages and had first call on their services) and I didn't see any benefit for the Blaze. At least this way, we choose which games to dress him and hopefully he'll get more ice time the nights we rest him. I like Selby - hows some grit and passion and I hope this helps to developp into a more complete player
