This is a great statement from the club - it shows that if the fans turn up then the money will be spent on the team.
This probably explains why Selby has taken a two-way deal with Swindon. Hopefully Tait won't be out for too much longer as that will give us four really solid lines.
It will be interesting to see where Ben plays and how much the lines are shuffled (if at all) to fit him in. I don't think much needs to be done actually, as Klotz and Liam Stewart have already shown they deserve more ice time, so adding Ben to the "fourth" should make them even more productive as long as they get the minutes.
I hope he's here in time to play on Friday.

Davies will play centre, so it's a question of really of where do you place Cowley and Davies in terms of 3rd and 4th. Not a bad question to have to ask. I'd go 4th - but only because when fit, the 3rd line of Venus/Cowley/Tait works well together.

Wonderful signing, can't pretend I remember him all that well but I think he used to wear 6? or 5 maybe? I also have a feeling he was quite fast and gritty, hopefully he'll be in for Friday and blend well with the team.
Personally I'd give him a few shifts all over the shop before making him settle somewhere, eyes on taking Bombis' place to see if he can make any goal-line magic, though looking at his points I'm quite doubtful..

Davies is a centre, Bombis is a winger - I doubt we'd see that swap. This is a good signing to add some real depth to the 3rd and 4th lines.
He wore 5 for Devils and Clan.

Who do you see moving from centre to wing to accommodate him - Liam Stewart? If he's taking Selby's place long term, or even Tait's temporarily then he's replacing a right wing, so someone probably has to move to there from centre. As it stands I think we're like this when fully fit: Bergman - Carnevale - Marquardt Bombis - Robinson - Pietrus Venus - Cowley - Tait Klotz - Stewart - Selby Currently I'm not convinced that we're getting the best from Bombis or Marquardt by playing them off their preferred wings, so I'd worry the same would happen to Stewart. I get why we've done that by the way - I like Bergman with Carnevale and Robinson with Pietrus, so I don't see an alternative set up that doesn't leave one line short on physicality. I might be getting off topic here, and I've nothing against Bombis, but as it stands, I'd probably like to trade him for a right shot power-forward (Bruton-esque), so Marquardt can switch lines. I also still think we could use a net clearing defenseman, but that's another story...

Who do you see moving from centre to wing to accommodate him - Liam Stewart? To keep it succinct - yes. Davies isn't a winger at all - he's a centreman. Either Cowley or Liam Stewart will move onto a wing. I'd rather make one of those two move than play Davies on the wing.

So perhaps shuffling winning lines to fit Tait and Davies in didn't help in Nottingham?
