It will be interesting to see how well we respond after last Sunday's debacle. As usual I'm stuck as to what to predict, hey ho - two points
Also an intriguing game tonight with Stars hosting Caps, it will be interesting to see how that one ends up

Stars v Caps result not good for us - would have been better if one team or the other had a regulation win. A real dog fight looks to beckon for play off positions and, sadly, our early season struggles could still see us finish out of contention. Whilst it may sound cliched, each and every game is now a play off game for us if we want to salvage anything from this season

Hi takina - what's your favourite song? Oh that's a good question takina. It has to be, "I think we're alone now "

The thing that may save us is that we only have 3 conference home games left, ironically our next 3. Our away fixtures however are far from favourable.

Nothing is decided at all this year, neither first nor last, everyone has everything to play for. On an upbeat note, odds are 13/5 and 4/6 for Coventry and Sheffield respectively... Quite generous odds on Sheffield if you ask me.

Worst scoreline I have seen in the eight seasons I have been following the blaze. Longest fight I have ever seen as well. Well done Mr Klotz. Our enforcer needs more ice time.
Steelers countered so well today, it looked as if we were a defenceman short for most of the game. I think they would have been happy to play the game out at 4-2 but turned the screw to show who was boss tonight.
Still if we scrape 8th place the champions would probably prefer another opponent.
Breezer.

Well what a performance that was, don't think I've seen a more embarrassing game yet. I was expecting a loss but to be completely torn apart 8-2 is very poor. Everything was bad really, forwards weren't doing anything productive and our defence hardly existed. A few players did well but honestly I think the majority of the team were having a bad night.
Highlight of the night was seeing Fitzgerald get a misconduct for tapping on the penalty box plexi after their goal, disgusting behaviour if you ask me.

I think that was the single most gutless performance I have witnessed in many years. Klotz aside we looked like rabbits in headlights and when he gave them a spark to get them ignited they just folded. Absolutely pathetic. Panthers thrash us 8-3 last week and now 8-2, really disappointed and disillusioned by this team right now, candidly we don't deserve 8th place and on this kind of performance we won't get it anyway

I was about to say, hey, if we finish tenth at least we can't do any worse next year, but then I remembered we go to 12 teams next year, so we'd find a way...

Had Desbiens decided he wanted to really make something of it against Russ it would have been somewhat one sided too.

Totally agree - thought it was Roy not Desbiens but the point you make is a good one.

Had to laugh when at 8-2 down the DJ plays 'Don't stop believing'!
