Received an e-mail from the Blaze today with next season's early bird offer.
First started following the Blaze in 2004 (year Belak) and have been a ST holder for the last 4 years. At face value the offer looks pretty attractive and as I said on a thread somewhere - what else would I do on a Sunday tea time. That said, I've left the Sky Dome frustrated and annoyed more times than not this season and I don't see any evidence that the off ice issues being addressed so I find myself in two minds. On balance I'll probably renew but it's pretty much a 55/45 decision.
Anyone else in the same boat or have decisions (one way or another) already been made?

Im not renewing. Price based is a small factor. The club needs sorting from top to bottom and until I see evidence that this happens I will only go when I want to. I wont be falling in to a trap of false hope again

As you say, it's been a frustrating season, but it's not enough to put me off. I know I'll still go to the majority of games regardless of results, so it makes sense to get the best price I can for the tickets. I am definitely hoping for, if not expecting, an improvement on this season though - we're well on course for the worst in our history.

Yes I'm the same, will renew, but expect improvement next season.

Of course everybody is entitled to their own choices but if most season ticket holders feel like you both then Blaze won't do anything to stem the current downward spiral. They will blindly carry on exploiting the loyalty of fans. A huge number of non renewals is required to finally make them see sense.

I totally see your point and it's a train of thought I have had myself. Another point of view could be if we as season ticket holders don't renew we won't have any team to ice as that money signs players. I'm not having a go at you just putting another thought out there.

Likewise, part of the worry for me is that if a chunk of season ticket holders don't renew then the club's response will simply be to reduce the playing budget. I can actually see season ticket sales being at an all time high next season. We've had really good crowds and with walk up tickets going up, I think that will tempt more people into a season ticket.

I disagree entirely. Ive spoken to many who wont renew next year. There will of course be some new fans but sadly I wont be one of them. As a football fan I can totally accept failure ive had it for 25 years. Its the general shambolic running of the club I can not accept. An incompetent general manager in all aspects compounded by him standing on the bench with no real qualifications to do so. Then they have the cheek to up matchday ticket prices after our worst season in our history. We are, currently' 9th in the league, probably going to miss our first play offs since we were in the league and 13 points behind the rest in a 5 team conference with -50 goals against, yet the mantra they keep peddling is 'we strive to be the best we can be'! Well if this is the best then its time for all management to fall on their swords and accept defeat and allow outside influences to help them move forward.

This season I've been to 18 Blaze home games, 7 Blaze away games, 6 Barons games, 2 Steeldogs & 2 Senators at a cost of over £500 (so far), so it's not that I can't afford a season ticket, I just don't want to get into a routine whereby I feel duty bound to attend every home game. I am already up to about £337 with Blaze home anyway, so by the end of the season (another 3 home games I'll go to), I will have spent a season ticket amount anyway.

I think I'll be renewing, with both Milton Keynes and Guildford coming up we'll be seeing more variety of teams (and be saying farewell to the current conference system with it), so hopefully we'll look a little better comparatively at the least, and seeing as I guess I'd be renewing I suppose I may as well take the discount. Equally, as Takina said, what else would I do? I'm not particularly interested in football or Rugby either, and jumping ship simply because we're not doing well isn't really an option as there's no other local team, best option for me is to keep it up and hopefully in a few years time we'll have done a uey and be back to our standard middle table position.
