So - any points this weekend?
Manchester away sounds like a tough gig to me so I'm not hopeful there. Haven't seen much of the Clan- so Sunday, maybe 50 / 50?

I hope you're wrong about Manchester. I know it's ridiculously early in the season, but if we're losing regularly to one of our conference rivals then we're in trouble. I'm hoping that last Sunday was a blip and we'll look to make a statement tomorrow.
Braehead's been more or less a 50/50 game for us since they first joined, but we have tended to win the home legs. Hopefully that continues, but yeah, it could definitely go either way.
I think we should be looking for 2 points from the weekend as an absolute minimum.

I'm hoping we will get pre season team turn up this weekend. This is a test of their character now to see how they bounce back from last weekend.

So - what do I know. Play smart for the next 20 to shut this game down and we'll have it

5-0 brilliant bounce back from last week, I hope we can continue tomorrow.

Sounds like we picked up a couple more knocks last night although no players left the game. With MK and Flames picking up more points we need another 2 tonight

Great game very feisty. Felt like we could have had several man of match choices tonight. Much better than last week and a much needed 4 point weekend.

What a great performance over both games - 9 for and just 1 conceded. I thought that tonight was a really cohesive team game and apart from a short sloppy patch in p2 and a fairly lackadaisical 5 min pp (after the Doty sending off) Blaze controlled and dominated throughout.
So what is Venus doing? Last night he riled Springer and tonight Doty had a hissy fit. Whatever it is, it's clearly working so hope he keeps at it.
I still remain unconvinced by Courchaine so far but tonight Valerand, Dingle and Pietrus all impressed - as did Kloz, who I thought looked really solid and comfortable on the puck
I know he conceded 4 but I thought the Braehead NM was exceptional for his team and he made some fantastic saves to keep his side in the game. Overall though, Braehead didn't overly impress me

I didn't see either of the games last weekend, so I've no idea what went wrong against Storm at home, but we were a class above them in Altrincham. Like-wise we were comfortably the better side against the Clan. If anything, we should've won both games by more.
If that was the biggest rival for our conference and the best team in the Gardiner then we'll do pretty well this season.

Much better performance, they looked like a hockey team this week. Didn't pick out a motm as they all played well. As good as Stewart was and Nastiuk is, it's a good sign when our netminder hasn't picked up 75% of the motm awards and conceded 1 over the weekend.
Time to fishout last years challenge cup jersey for next week. One day it may make a 1/4.
