Right then, head above the parapet time, deux points This is another weekend I can’t attend due to work so we should get 2 points from Cardiff in a really good game, as for MK that could be 0, 1 or 2 points, spin the random points generator! Seriously though, we seem to have the makings of a good squad on home ice and would love to be there Sunday.

Hicks is ref on Sunday so not much chance of any points!

Hicks is ref on Sunday so not much chance of any points! Could be worse, it could have been Hogarth! In fact last Sunday was the first time I have breathed a sigh of relief that it was Hicks with the whistle.

We need 4 this weekend otherwise kiss goodbye to qualifying for the next part of the CC. We've missed out on this for the last few seasons, qualifying will mean at least one xtra home game and the revenue that brings.

does anyone have any kind of explanation as to how in recent weeks we have been so dominant at home but utter bobbins on the road? getting owned by a conference rival again tonight and crashing out of the cc early doors again. I'm so fed up of not making the quarters.
next season we just wont tell the guys we are in the cup and maybe then we might not bend over in every cup game.

As soon as MK scored the 1st goal I text my friend and said that's it we will lose now. Didn't quite expect a 5-1 scoreline. Maybe we should tell the players they haven't travelled anywhere it's home ice.

Well we can't win away for love nor money but 5-1 is nothing short of appalling in a game where we needed something. Cardiff took a point tonight, not sure how it leaves the group but we're so far adrift in bottom place (we have 1 point) that effectively (maybe even statistically?) we're already out. Again. Yet again. Really disappointed.

We were the better team for 2 periods but just couldnt't get it in the net. We get Nickerson tossed (What a muppet) and then in the 3rd play like a bunch of total strangers.

Wouldn't be suprised to see Paquette get a ban after he shoved the lino out the way to get to Nickerson.

We seemed to be one forward short in our attacks. We were not pressuring the goalminder D enough. First period played well 1-0 or 2-1 would have been a fairer reflection. 2nd the penalties worked out better for Mk amazingly. 3rd we did not turn up, to be honest I could not see much as all the play was around the Coventry goal.
Had a good chat on train and stadium so the social was good, the hockey well...

Thank heavens we have Vallerand, week in week out, his work ethic is inspirational. Thought Kloz and Nastiuk played well, sadly some of the rest of our players need to wake up, Courchaine, Lauwers and Patterson all disappointed tonight, Courcchaine reminds me Bombis, all this talent but unable to cope with the more physical nature, too easily neutralised for me.
We had a pitiful 4 sog in P2 tonight and that against a team who were every bit as scruffy and scrappy as we were and, frankly, it's well shy of being good enough. We know what this squad can do but they need to convert can do into do do with more consistency and to play with a damn sight more urgency
Chances of qualifying for the next round are not quite zero I gather but as close to it as makes no difference I fear

To be honest, neither team were great tonight. The Devils passing was shocking tonight. There were long periods in the game where we (Devils) couldn't clear the puck out of our own zone.
One thing I don't understand and wonder if anyone could shed any light. The Devils were about to go on a 5 on 3 and called a time out. As soon as it was announced , Blaze fans , including the drummers in Block 8 started to make a load of noise (presumably so it makes it harder for the players to hear Andrew Lord) BUT is it also the case that it also makes it just as hard for the Blaze to hear Danny , who , at that point, needed to speak to the players as they were about to go on a 3 on 5 penalty kill. I just found it strange.

My personal view is that DOPS is unfit for purpose - right idea, inability to execute and stay consistent just makes them a laughing stock. Needs a significant rethink and overhaul

The fact that the video explanation doesn't even include an explanation says it all.
It's not even border line. During a game, at full speed i understand the call but the slow mo replay is obvious.
