I am so fed up of the contempt with which the club treat the cup whilst expecting the fanbase to stump up cash for shirt auctions and non st games etc. 3 wins from our last 20 or so cup games and out in the group stage for (I think) the 3rd season in a row. downright diabolical. glad to see the asst coach leading the way with the scuttling of the ship tonight. most expensive penalty ever?

Following on twitter last night, thought there were double posts as surely Cardiff couldn't have scored 3 in about a minute. How wrong was I.
Coach says we need to concerntrate on the league. How about concerntrating on coaching.
Leaving aside the Conferences I can only see us finishing better than the Caps and Dundee this season with the match penalties/bans/injuries we are picking up. Also I am seeing a tweet a day about this team or that adding players to their roster improving their squad, though in our case any new/better player will just fit into a poorly coached team.

It's bad enough being in block 5. I would feel very unsafe being in a block with them steelers or Cardiff fans, any other team would be OK.

I sat next to Panthers fans in Block 9 when they shared it, there was no conversation really, but also no trouble, sat on the edge of Block 9 with the Devils in 8, had some fun with them and no trouble, Steelers fans were generally ok but a couple were using foul language in the back rows and my grandson was knocked aside on the stairs as they left, having said that I wouldn’t choose to sit with any away fans especially if we’re losing. We’re using the webcast tonight and there will only be Blaze fans on my settee!

Myself and my young nephew have been verbally abused by Cardiff fans for minding our own business walking back to car park also been pushed and shoved by them. Not saying all Cardiff, Sheffield or panthers fans are like this but find these particular fan groups aggressive and abusive.

If the EIHL website is right, we had 9 powerplays over the weekend without a pp goal. And had 10 penalty kills with 7 conceded.

Well it doesn't take a genius to see that the difference between the teams was the quality of the special teams. 5 on 5, I didn't think Panthers looked any better than us but I did think we were no where near clinical enough in front of net. Despite his lack of game time I thought Bebris looked ok.
Not only did we concede 3 goals on 3 pp opportunities, we did so so painfully easily - Panthers hardly had to work for their goals at all, in fact on the 2nd pp, they scored about 15s after their first effort was washed off
I would like to see some changes made to the squad, Kloz apart, the D are flaky (albeit that I think Lauwers had his best game for us tonight), up front - not clinical enough plus a couple of passengers

I haven't seen the Robinson hit but do wonder if its the result of the new DOPs system and Hick's losing control of the Steelers Giants game. Most seem to be called as 2+10 rather than game unless they are a really bad check or cause injury.

I felt we could have won that game and were a bit unlucky really, the special teams let us down, panthers weren't that great and their fans were very quiet.

I felt we could have won that game and were a bit unlucky really, the special teams let us down, panthers weren't that great and their fans were very quiet. I kinda have to disagree. I had the constant uneasy feeling that if it looked like we might win nottingscum had several gears they could easily go up if required. they were playing well within themselves as no one wanted to risk missing the CHL games either through injury or suspension. agree fully about our special teams. PP is bobbins as always. last time I remember us having a PP that always looked dangerous was the first line unit of calder, Carlson, cloutier, martin and weaver. the last few years though have been particularly dire. The pk is also suffering and I was raging at how easy it looked for panthers to score on their powerplays. I wish we had more guys like kloz. and more size up front. have to agree that given they were winning with ease almost right from the opening face-off the notts fans were really quiet and subdued. no idea why though. biggest disappointment for me was that with panthers having one eye on the chl games and clearly holding back the opportunity was there to have a right go at them. the points were there for the taking and we just didn't.
