I genuinely want us to lose on Sunday. This team deserves 9th and I want no excuses for the management to hide behind. We deserve management to give a clear plan of how the club moves forward and to remove people from positions they are not cut out for.

Although some will think it disloyal I'm with fanta on this. We've been an utter shambles all season and I want no wriggle room, let's end this season on the whimper we deserve and then hope that the owners & directors take time out to assess what we need to do to move forward

The Cardiff win tonight means they secure the conference so that puts Braehead as 2nd seed. Dundee's win away at Fife secures their place in 7th, Coventry & Manchester in a dog fight for 8th, whilst Sheffield and Belfast compete for 2nd place.

By compete I don't mean against each other (Belfast have another away game at Cardiff, Sheffield a home game against, oh well....)

Personally I don't think that their 3rd goal should have stood as their guy was already in the crease and partially on top of Stewart before the Boutin check. Notwithstanding there's no arguing about the result and we looked pretty toothless in front of goal.
Klotz saw zero ice time (literally zero) so with Cantin out, we played the entire game 2 imports short, don't get it personally, just don't get it. Thought Pietrus worked himself into the ground, full respect to him, he lead from the front throughout.
I'm sure the inquest will follow

Why the hell was Klotz even on the bench if he wasn't going to be played. We got what we deserved. Shame for Russ to finish on such a sour note.

So I was right. Stewart telling us fans that we don't care as much as the players should stop anybody renewing a season ticket until he is gone.

I argue he did mean it. The man is delusional and clueless and I don't think cares one bit about the fans. He is protected from the sack after coaching the worst Blaze side in history by management who are equally as clueless.

Danny Stewarts' biggest mistake all season has been sticking up for the players, he's shown them too much loyalty and they've given him absolutely nothing back. Can't accuse him of not caring, the problems with the club aren't his fault. Nothing will improve if changes don't happen higher up in the management, but can't see that happening. After 12 years I won't be going next season, there is nothing I enjoy about going anymore. As well as terrible on ice performances the club have taken the "family sport" thing way to far, the atmosphere now consists of about 6 teenage girls screaming and a few blokes hitting drums randomly, a DJ who treats it like a kids party, just makes me cringe.

Glad I hung back getting an Elite Playoff weekend ticket now, looks like I'll be rooting for the Barons in Sheffield instead now (and saving ****-loads)

Me too, but if we'd done the business against Fife and Braehead at home the last 2 weekends, we wouldn't have had the added embarrassment of having them put us to the sword!

True. It's hard to pick out where the playoff race was lost as we've been pretty bad across the board. Losing all 4 games to Fife and 7 of the 8 to Sheffield does stand out a bit though. You expect to lose more than you win in our conference to some degree, but the Fife series is awful and we only tied with Braehead and Edinburgh (won 2, lost 2), so it's the results against the other conference that are probably the biggest issue (Even though we only lost one game to Dundee and none at all to Manchester in the league).

The Scottish weekend is where it began to decline. The biggest embarrassment in my time as a fan

I have just run the numbers...
In the 13 league games before the Scottish weekend, we amassed 11 points, so using the same average return in the 52 league games, we would have ended up with 44 points, 1 point more than we did, and still not enough to eclipse Manchester due to their regulation win tally

The season was done before it started with poor recruitment. When you have a shoddy defence and a shoddy D-coach running the D and then re-sign most of it then you should not be surprised when the D turns out to be as useful as a condom machine in the Vatican.

The is he/isn't he Chris Bruton episode was a big downer for me. Replacing a point + half a game player was never going to be easy

Yep, No explaination of his statement from man or club. I now hope that was not what he meant. No resignation(s), no sackings(s). No confidence in next season unless there's change.
