Personally, I'd have kept him, we all know that our D was poor (but then again so was our offence) and needs a shaking and a half, however, in my opinion, we have just released our two most competent D men. I really hope we don't see the return of Cantin or Boutin, both of whom I would have released ahead of Jorgensen or Godfrey. Noble strikes me as a Stewart type player so wouldn't be surprised if he's re-signed (depending as to who makes the decisions)

Elite prospects has Brian Stewart as moving on. Not surprised, I expected him to go, he's not been quite himself this season. Big shoes to fill though, given his first season.

Kept Godfrey? 2 seasons of genuine nothingness. On a high wage I would expect and, when not injured, offered little offensively and couldn't really defend that well. Jorgensen was a shadow of his former self last season and was also the right decision. Noble I agree is a 100% player but is prone to too many mistakes and a clean sweep of the defence is much needed. Along with B Stewart leaving it is going to be interesting.
The sole reason you found them our most competent was because they were being compared to incompetent players. All 5 import defence can be improved upon.

Not unexpected and probably was time for him to move on but I hope his replacement is as good or better as year 1 Stewy!

I didn't see that one coming, I honestly thought he would go, hope he has a strong D to help him this year.

Klotz gone. Hardly a shock as Danny forgot about him for most of the season anyway

Luke Ferrara confirmed as signing for Coventry from Sheffield Good pick up, hated him in orange! Great to improve the British contingent, particularly with the losses of Cowley and Davies

Ferrara is a really good pick up for us

A big stay at home D man is something we lacked last season, let's hope he gets the job done.

Seems decent. In the NCAA he led the team for blocked shots in 12/13 (62), 4th in 13/14 (74) and lead again in 14/15 with 80.

Also spotted an interview when he joined the Alaska Aces, describing himself as a 'hard nosed defenceman'. Just what we've needed for a while, hopefully

Ok, now I know Blaze have lost the plot. Didn't want to see that idiot in a Blaze shirt ever again.
